Event Scripts
If you have not already completed the form for the event scripts, please do so ASAP. This gives us the information we need to introduce your band, and gives us the opportunity to recognize your student’s for the work they are doing. PARADE DIRECTIONS
Busses need to be unloaded by 7:30.
Below are our suggested routes. Please be aware GPS will not work due to multiple road closures for the event. We ask that you follow the outlined routes below. We will have law enforcement and volunteers stationed starting at MO-6 & Main Street (by the big flag pole).
Class 1 and 2 Bands
Please follow the yellow route on the map below. You will be directed to Northbound Main St. It is usually a one way street, but we will have it shut down for the parade route. Overflow may be directed to use the class 3 area.
You will unload near Geyer Hall (Red Area under the yellow path). After unloading students and parade necessities, proceed to the Parking lot behind Geyer/Cross Hall (L-shaped Red polygon on map). The bus driver/Equipment Driver will be directed to the green route:
1. Turn east on Crowder Rd
2. Turn North on Mable St
3. Turn East on 17th St
4. Turn South on Normal Street
5. Enter THS parking lot
Class 3 Bands
Please follow the white route on the below map. You will be directed to Northbound Mable Street. You will unload near the dorms and Ketcham Center. (Red Area under the white path). After unloading students and parade necessities, proceed to your staging area. The bus driver/Equipment Driver will be directed to the green route:
1. Proceed North on Mable St
2. Turn East on 17th St
3. Turn South on Normal Street
4. Enter THS parking lot
Class 4 Bands
Please follow the Blue Route. You will be directed to Northbound Lulu Street. You will unload near the Ketcham Center. (Red Area under the blue path). After unloading students and parade necessities, proceed to your staging area. The bus driver/Equipment Driver will be directed to the green route;
1. Proceed East on Crowder Rd
2. Turn North on Mable St
3. Turn East on 17th St
4. Turn South on Normal Street
5. Enter THS parking lot
We understand the routes can be confusing due to the road closures. Just remember, once you make it to MO-6 and Main Street, we will have volunteers spread throughout the route to assist you.
DIRECTIONS FOR BANDS NOT IN THE PARADE
For those of you coming from the west, please take note of the ORANGE ROUTE on the “Detour Route” map. It will be well-marked with detour signs upon your arrival in town BEFORE 10:30. After 10:30, you should be able to follow the PURPLE path on the “Route to THS” map
For those of you arriving from the NORTH, SOUTH, or EAST, please follow the “Route to THS” map.
Regardless of the path you choose, please note the entry point to campus. (RED path) on the Route to THS map
Instructions from US 65 & 28th St.
1. West on 28th until the 4-way stop.
2. South on Oklahoma Ave
3. West on 17th St
4. South on Normal St until you turn into the THS parking lot.
INDOOR GUARD/INDOOR PERCUSSION
Please use the school corridor to move groups from the warm-up gym to the performance gym. For those of you who are unfamiliar, we will provide you with a liaison from point A to point B. Entrance and exit doors will remain the same as in the past. You are not required to march in or march out of the gym. You are only scored on the performance.
FIELD SHOW COMPETITION
No logistical changes. The practice field and stadium performance area are the same. There may be a percussion judge on the field. We offer each judge the option of being in the press box or at ground level.
INVOICES
You should have received an invoice for the festival. Please get that to your administration at your earliest convenience.
MDMF SHIRTS
There will be a vendor on-site selling 2025 MDMF shirts/hoodies. You will have the option of ordering and purchasing the day of the festival.
